At Town & Country Kennel we do not believe in cages. The dog kennel consists of 95 indoor/outdoor units that are grouped into six separate wings. Two wings are dedicated to small and medium size dogs, and the other four are for larger dogs. Each wing has its own environmental control and air handling systems. Smaller groups of dogs allow your pet to "settle in" more easily, somewhat like a small classroom.
Each unit has an indoor section and an outdoor section. The indoor quarters are roomy and have 4' high solid walls which separate neighboring dogs. This privacy wall on the inside bed and food area is critical to our guests' ability to relax without worrying about the other dogs. A sliding door separates the indoor and outdoor portion of the unit and is controlled by the kennel staff. The outdoor portion of the unit is a run with curbing walls that allow the dogs to see each other, yet still maintain separate regions for cleanliness. The indoor quarters are air-conditioned in the summer and radiantly heated in the winter. The outdoor areas are partially covered by a roof to protect from the rain, snow, and sun. The result is more inside/outside time for your dog, longer distances for your dog to run, and an all around comfortable place for your pet to stay while away from home.
